March 30 at First Vineyard Winery: Opening Day, 2018 — March 30 from 1-7 PM. Say “goodbye” to cold weather blues and “hello” to fun at historic First Vineyard as owner Tom Beall invites visitors to celebrate the beginning of the winery’s 2018 season. Other Spring 2018 First Vineyard events include: “Wine & Wood” on April 15 2-4:30 PM and Beau Spicer of Louie’s Flower Power Shops” “Designing & Planting Flower Beds for the Bluegrass” workshop on April 22 from 2-4:30 PM. April 27-29 at the historic Jessamine County Courthouse in downtown Nicholasville: The Creative Art League of Jessamine County’s KCAL presents “To Kill a Mockingbird” dramatized by Christoper Sergel. Tickets are available for the following performances: Friday, April 27th at 7 PM; Saturday, April 28th at 7 PM; Sunday, April 29th at 2:30 PM. For more info click here.
April 28 at the City of Wilmore’s Annual Coaster Car Derby children and youth ages 7 and up are invited to participate in a sport that has been the ultimate small town adventure for over 100 years. Two divisions are available: home built cars and kit cars. This is a free event, thanks to local sponsorships. Visit the City of Wilmore Event Calendar for more information.
