Introducing an Inaugural Jessamine County Event: River Blast at First Vineyard: Pops at the Palisades!

Beautiful music provided by the EKU Traveling Cello group, Asbury Jazz Ensemble, and Young at Heart Big Band Orchestra, a historical setting with a fascinating story, AND unique and fabulous arts & crafts, a raffle with prizes that include a kayak, rod & reel, and a print by renowned artist Riverkeeper Pat Banks.  Not bad for first-ever event–not bad at all!  In fact, the River Blast at First Vineyard: Pops at the Palisades this Saturday, Oct 1 from 4-10 PM has become the season’s “must go” event, with participants expected from Jessamine, Fayette, Garrard, and surrounding counties.

As the site of the first commercial vineyard in the U.S., First Vineyard is literally the “birthplace” of America’s wine industry.  Perched high above the Kentucky River Palisades, it is also a place of exceptional natural beauty, and the perfect spot for Jessamine County’s first River Blast and Pops Concert.   First Vineyard (5)
